Dr. Mohammad Masoud Andalib is a surgeon specializing in gastrointestinal diseases and cancers, performing procedures using laparoscopic and laser techniques.
He spent his childhood in the United Kingdom and, after moving to Iran, pursued mathematics and computer Olympiads as well as robotics.
After receiving his mathematics diploma from the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (Sampad), he switched to the experimental sciences track and was admitted to medical school with a national entrance exam rank of 27 (Region 1) in 2007.
He began his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) program at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. During this period, he participated in the national project on “Reforming Clinical Medical Education in Iran” as well as several national aerospace research projects. His extensive work on healthcare policy-making in Iran led to his selection by the National Elites Foundation to deliver a speech on behalf of Iranian elites in the presence of the Supreme Leader in 2013.
After completing the eight-year medical program, his strong passion for surgery led him to pursue a specialization in general surgery. He completed the National Board of Surgery among the top 5% of surgeons in the country.
He then began his Colorectal Surgery Fellowship at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences under the supervision of Professor Hosseini, the founder of Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery in Iran. By the end of this fellowship, he had mastered the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases and cancers using laparoscopic surgery and laser technology.
His current clinical focus is on minimally invasive treatments based on multidisciplinary team decision-making, ensuring comprehensive and modern patient-centered care.
